Hi Tin and Cathy we are excited on your upcoming visit to the Phils. we will have the opportunity to bond again as a family . Looking forward for places to go around while you are here with us . For meal times to share , family recipes to prepare and taste again . You are so much miss here at our home .

We are so excited to be with you again and have a Filipino experience . I know you hate the traffic here but there is still so much to love in our country especially family members and relatives . We miss you so much and looking forward for your presence in a few days from now ...

A Mother's Heart

Last Sunday , my son was brought to the emergency room  of the Medical City Ortigas due to asthma and he experience difficulty in breathing . He was eventually sent home but has to be on nebulizer for two ( 2 ) days . Although I know he is old enough and can handle himself  I decided to stay home and assist him in his nebulizer medications for the two ( 2)  days . I reported to work on Wednesday but still concern about his well being . And though I can report to work on Thursday I decided to stay home and be with my son . You know he is doing okay already but is still concern on his well being .  That is what I am referring here as the mother's heart .

Even though they are grown up already you are still concern with your children's well being. You can not avoid , your children are always in your heart . You look for those days where you took care of them day in and day out . As if you can not be separated because they are always around you . Then they grow up and find their own ways . And you still remain a mother at heart ... looking for ways to still be  a part of their life ... you know.

Family is life .... really 

Family Road trips

Family road trips are truly enriching experience for me . Even when my children were still small kids we had a lot of road trips especially during the summer months because it was school vacation . I have a lot of pictures to document this events . We even had summer outings where my siblings and their families were with us like one of our trips where we went to the Our Lady of Manaog church then went to swim in La Union and we even had a day trip to Baguio City . My Mom was even with us on that trip. Those were the days of truly family bonding and you enjoy each other companies . Just being together with a lot of stories and food around us.

How I truly miss those days . Nowadays everyone seem to be busy with our individual lives . Even some of our children are now working abroad or out of the country so how can they still join our family road trips .

Family is life really ....

Dubai Marina Mall

This is the view at the Dubai Marina Mall...such beautiful buildings surrounding this lake or body of water .  I can not distinguish if it is part of the ocean because it is besides these big buildings . You can also see the nearby boats . We were suppose to take the boat ride along the lake or river ( not so sure yet ) but we came late for the tickets . We were there early but we thought we can get the tickets same time with the boat ride at 4:00 pm .

Abu Dhabi and Dubai hangover

It has been almost a month since our trip in Abu Dhabi and Dubai and still have the hangover feeling. The best time was the family bonding it created among us . Going to different beautiful places the whole day with your family is such an amazing experience . That is probably the reason why so many fall in love in travelling in different places in the world . As you can see through Instagram or Facebook , there are so many posts documenting their travels either here in our country or abroad. It is more a norm now that a fad. So many families enjoying travelling all over the world. Some would even bring their small children on their trips.

But it was really amazing travelling with your family . The bonding it established among you as you share the whole experience , the moment you wake up and celebrate the day with a breakfast . Then up until the last day of the meal in a really grand restaurant . Wow , the memories kept flooding in my memory . I am just worried that this cost a fortune to my children and has to earn again hard earned money to get by their daily lives in a foreign country.

What about my goal for them to save up so they can put up their own business in our country . Oh , my seem to be lost on what my goal should be now as you wish to go back and travel with them. Maybe in the same country or in another country.

How can you convince them to go back to the Phils.?

Hi every one Marian Santos here of  Potential.blogspot.com signing in my blog. How are you my friend ? Are you doing okay with your life ? I would just like to share that when my twin daughters went home last May 2018 to visit us because I had  a medical crisis that time so it was just a short visit . Well, I ask them to go back to our country and work here or do business . But they told me that the traffic situation here takes you such a long time to arrive at your office . Sometimes it is even about two ( 2) hours and that is just going to the office.

So how will you respond to such a scenario ? They even convince us to just migrate in another country as a family but when they went back to Abu Dhabi and we ask around  how much we will spend to migrate to another country so we realize it will take a million pesos or even more to migrate.

So how will you encourage the millenials to stay in our country and hone their career here ? Hard to answer really ... we do not have a solution on the traffic situation and it get worse every day .

Al Sahra Desert Dubai UAE

Al Sahra Desert Dubai is one of the places we went to while in Dubai UAE. The remaining part of the desert sands in UAE because majority now of the lands in UAE is developed lands of shopping malls, buildings , residential areas, and other commercial places . So I was telling my husband and children that the local UAEs has mastered in developing their desert lands into industrial areas. During our tour around Abu Dhabi and Dubai , I did not see any beggars around or make shift homes. When my husband went to New York to attend a convention in 2016 , he saw a homeless man in the streets of New York as in really sleeping on the sidewalks of New York City. This scenario I did not see in Abu Dhabi or Dubai.

Here at Al Sahra , there was camel rides you can try . Originally it was only Cathy who wants to have a camel ride but eventually we all went for a camel ride . Well, we enjoyed the camel ride though a bit scary because of chances of falling down from the camel.

If you have the chance to travel in the Middle East , try visiting Abu Dhabi and Dubai to appreciate the developments they have in these countries.

Enjoy your work

Do you have current work ? Are you enjoying it ? There are a lot of people who would like to work but can't find any work right now . So us who have work let us love and enjoy our work . Give it our best and excel on our daily activities so we will prosper in our career.

Whatever responsibilities is assign to us , find ways of doing it better , give our best self and we will prosper . We will even influence the people around us to do their job better .

Global Village Dubai UAE

This is one of the tourist attractions in Dubai UAE. Different countries have their own booths in the global village showcasing their countries products and food. Such a wonderful attractions . It even has carnival rides for children . We were not able to go to the individual booths because they were a lot of them . It was getting late at night already and our driver that time was Tin , our youngest daughter , and she is just a new driver so I don't want to go home too late as she may find difficulty navigating back to our hotel .

But it was a wonderful experience all the same . There were even a lot of visitors from the local residents .  It is like a trade exhibits for different countries to showcase the highlight of their countries . Thank you for this opportunity Tin and Cathy . Also to the Lord God for this blessings .

Alonzo

Hi every one Marian Santos here signing in my blog Potentials.com . Today I would like to share this picture of Alonzo and me . Alonzo is the youngest son of my brother , Rebecco . Alonzo is such a lovable child and very funny indeed . It is such a joy whenever he is around . He brings so much joy in our lives . Excited to see him grow and be a part of his life.

Enjoy your children

While you have your children with you at home now , enjoy being with them ...play with them , help them in their assignments . Have date nights . Bro Bo Sanchez , my favorite lay preacher and book author , advises us to have individual date nights with our children every week and of course with our spouse too. Though I have date nights with my children when they were younger but mostly as a group so we are Team Santos .But we do not have individual date nights .

Now my children are all grown up and finding their own place in this world so I am missing them so much . Pretty soon my eldest son will get married so he will have his own family . So I am back with me and my husband . That's why I consider my husband as my ministry now because we spend a lot of time together , which of course I enjoy.

So as a parent I am telling you enjoy your children while they are with you now. Have a great day everyone .

Abu Dhabi and Dubai Holiday Vacation

I just came from a holiday vacation for 10 days at Abu Dhabi and Dubai , United Arab Emirates. Truly such a great experience and most specially spent with my family. It was a treat from my twin daughters who have been working in Abu Dhabi for the past 4 years , which make it more meaningful because the fund came from their hard earned income .

We visited a lot of place in both places . We had a Big Bus tour in Abu Dhabi going around the city and explaining the different tourist spots and shopping malls of the city . We also had special family dinner at known restaurants such as The Lamb and the Saudi Kitchen . We stayed in a Grand suite at The Eclipse Hotel in Abu Dhabi .

In the attached picture we were at the Global Village in Dubai. Different countries has exhibits of their products and food choices .

It was a truly wonderful experience for me and my family .
